Manhattan has been something of a winter wonderland of late, with frigid temperatures and Central Park a gorgeous snowy landscape. But yesterday I found myself seeking shelter from the cold at a live broadcast of the Huckabee show in midtown Manhattan where I met not one, but two — count ‘em, two — former Governors. The first is, of course, Mike Huckabee, host of the eponymously named show in whose Green Room I am pictured, with a bemused John McCain looking on. “Yes,” he seems to be saying, “if only I’d picked Huckabee as my Veep…”

The second is Governor Mario Cuomo, who was the first Governor’s special guest. Both were affable and talkative and charming. It was some enchanted evening, if one was in the mood to meet former Governors. I confess I was.
